Custom Cat Shopify T-Shirts Integration Tutorial and Guide

Do you hear that? It’s the smooth, gentle, purr of CustomCat orders being automatically fulfilled from your Shopify store.

In case you’ve never heard of CustomCat, it is one of the absolute best Shopify T-Shirt Print On Demand partner, perfect for shirts and other garments, and offers a wide range of benefits which are unrivaled by the competition.

Note: CustomCat does charge a monthly access fee of $30, but it is entirely worth it and if you still need to justify this in your mind here’s how:

Imagine you’re selling 30 products per month (which is not hard to do by the way, especially if you’re in any of my bootcamps), this is simply 1 extra dollar off your total profit margin.

Still need convincing?

Take into consideration their ridiculously cheap unisex T-shirts combined with done-for-you packing, shipping, tracking, and customer service and we have a winner!

Let’s look at the numbers (math geeks rejoice):

  • Unisex T-shirt: $6
  • Shipping $4

Grand total: $10= Not too shabby!

While you are free to set your prices where you want, I have found $22.99 + $5.00 shipping to work the best and with the above price, that gives us a cushy $18 margin on each T-shirt sold. That is seriously significant!

How does the backend work?

After you install the app, anytime an order comes in from your store it will automatically be processed by CustomCat, resulting in a hands-off experience for you:

  1. Customer places an order on your Shopify store

CustomCat:

  1. Prints your design
  2. Packs the order
  3. Mails the order to your customer
  4. Sends an email to your customer with the tracking info
  5. Sends YOU a paycheck
  6. Smile, scale your ads, and smile some more

But wait – there’s more! Here is a non-exhaustive list of why this is the number one 3rd party fulfillment app:

  • 350+ different products to chose from
  • Products are produced and shipped within 24-48 hours from purchase
  • You get PAID within 24-48 hours of purchase
  • Cheapest T-shirt + shipping offer = best profit margins
  • Grouping products option (see below)
  • Automatically and fully integrated with your Shopify store
  • All the benefits of a 6-figure website development integration for $30/month
  • All the work is done for you!

How does it stack up against the competition?

7-25-1

Ok, now that you’re ready to join the cat club go to www.cc.justincener.com and you will receive a 30-day free trial where you can instantly start reaping the benefits.

A few things to keep in mind…

  • You can install CustomCat on 3 separate Shopify stores
  • When you install the app and it asks for your store URL make sure to use your ugly .myShopify.com store domain not your pretty domain (you do have a real domain right?!)
  • When you sign up for the trial you can use a credit card or your paypal info – I recommend putting a credit card on file so they will bill your card automatically and it will be smooth sailing from here on in.

Tips & Tricks for using CustomCat

Use the group product option when making more than one product with the same design (ex. T-shirt, hoodie, and hat).

This option is great for paid advertising because the customer only has to go to one page and select which product they want, instead of navigating away to find a different option.

Remember: The name of the game is decrease the number of clicks to checkout!

So you have your T-shirt fulfillment partner, now you just need a high quality design. Where do you find those?

Good question.

Any freelancing platform, such as Upwork, Freelancer, 99Designs etc., will have a plethora of designers of varying quality and reliability…

…the downside is it can be both time consuming and costly testing out different designers until you find a keeper.

BUT…

There is a better way. (Yes, this is going to be a shameless plug, because it’s so damn true).

In my T-shirt bootcamp, https://cener.clickfunnels.com/order-form-dd8792120 (one-time $497 cost), I give you direct access to all of my tried and true designers at a flat price of $35 per design, instead of $75 or higher. They will provide you with the correct file formats, specific sizing requirements, etc.. Access to these professionals alone is worth the cost of the course, especially over the long-term, and we are here to build sustainable businesses that provide lasting income.

What about design research?

Well, the old way went something like this:

…search pinterest, google images, wanelo, reddit, etc. by typing in “funny your niche t-shirt”…..

….search memes in your niche….

….look for things with a lot of shares or repins….

….wake up at your keyboard and repeat…

Fortunately, there is a new way that saves us a helluva lot of time by compiling all the social and sales proof you need to find the clear winners that you can scale to the moon and back.

SO,

I have another free trial for you, go to: www.tee.justincener.com.

The site is called TeeSpy and it intelligently displays thousands (818,970 to be exact) of T-shirt designs which have already sold. It also allows you to search and filter them based on your niche and how well the design has sold over its lifetime, or the past 24 hours, or the past 12 hours etc.

Please don’t be turned off by the word “Spy”. TeeSpy is an industry-accepted standard tool that thousands of people use for RESEARCH. You’re not James Bond…and this is not the CIA, it’s the (wonderful) T-shirt business.

Understand: I am not telling you to directly copy other designs, infact I do not advocate that at all. What I AM saying is use this tool to find which designs sold the most, and get inspiration from these. This is the difference between working with winning designs and losing designs. If 10,000+ people bought the same shirt do you think they might by a similar one? I’ll let you do the math 😉

Take notes on the color schemes, the kind of graphics being used etc., you want to be able to show your designer something they can use as a guideline for your own design.

That being said there is nothing wrong with doing things the “old way”, but as the saying goes time is money and this tool will save a whole lot of time.

You have a couple pricing options with SpyTool, through my link you can get $100 off the upfront yearly price, although the $27/month option will work just fine as well.

I’ll leave you with this: selling print on demand T-shirt’s is the best business to start in 2016. You never have to handle, pack, ship, or store any physical inventory, and with the CustomCat app you know your customers are getting quality products, fast shipping, good customer service. WIN WIN WIN.
